The Wedding at LWR
Saturday May 28 2005 was a very proud day as we hosted a wedding reception for the sister of one of our long-standing volunteers.
The
bride and groom choose an Edwardian theme for their wedding with many guests
dressing in period attire. The actual wedding took place at Louth register office
and the guests were driven to the station on a bus. They had not been told where
the wedding reception was going to be held and were very surprised to arrive
at a railway station. Graham and Barbara were greeted by station staff forming
an arch of flags for them to walk through. After a ride pulled by the steam train
they enjoyed their wedding breakfast in our stationery railway carriage suitably
decorated for this very special day.
