Step aboard our Heritage Steam Railway and embark on a magical journey like no other! We are proud to be the sole standard gauge heritage steam railway in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, and we invite you to join us this Christmas season.
But the real magic of our Christmas journey begins when Santa himself makes a special appearance on board. Accompanied by his merry band of Elves, Santa will visit each carriage, spreading cheer, and ensuring that the festive spirit is alive and well. Santa will hand out special gold coins for the children to visit the toy shop after your journey & pick a gift to cherish.
Children and adults alike will be able to get lively and sing christmas songs & dance in their seats to songs & really get into the party mood**…
And the excitement doesn’t end there! At the end of your train ride, don’t forget to step into Santa’s grotto. Here, you can capture the cherished moments with Santa by taking your own photos with him, creating memories that will last a lifetime & then make your way into the toy shop.
Your trip includes:
- Santa will visit you during your journey.
- The total journey is just under 1 hour.
- Don’t forget to visit Santa’s Grotto after your journey to take your own photos.
- A visit to Santa’s Toy Shop
- We would love to see everyone wearing your best Christmas costumes / jumpers or something Christmassy – one elf in particular will be checking & telling Santa if you’ve co-operated ha-ha

We will do our upmost to provide entertainment in carriage A & B but subject to change in cases of any technical difficulties / unforeseen circumstances.
No entertainment is provided in Carriage C & D & No entertainment is provided in any carriage on the Monday.

Our new ticketing system allows you to select your own seats. This allows you to sit where you’d like.
We understand sometimes unexpected situations arise, where you will not be able to attend as planned and here at the LWR we will do everything to help. We do have a general cancellation policy which can be read under the cancellation section… Please get in touch with us at the earliest possible time, so that we can speak with you direct.
