A warm welcome everyone!

Christmas is not so far in the distance and Santa is getting prepared to visit the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.

Step aboard our Heritage Steam Railway and embark on a magical journey like no other! We are proud to be the sole standard gauge heritage steam railway in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire, and we invite you to join us this Christmas season.

But the real magic of our Christmas journey begins when Santa himself makes a special appearance on board. Accompanied by his merry band of Elves, Santa will visit each carriage, spreading cheer, and ensuring that the festive spirit is alive and well. Children and adults alike will be thrilled as they chat with Santa, share their Christmas wishes, and receive a small gift to cherish.

And the excitement doesn’t end there! At the end of your train ride, don’t forget to step into Santa’s grotto. Here, you can capture the cherished moments with Santa by taking your own photos with him, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Your trip includes:

Santa will visit you during your journey.
The total journey is just under 1 hour.
Don’t forget to visit Santa’s Grotto after your journey to take your own photos.
We would love to see everyone wearing your best Christmas costumes / jumpers or something Christmassy – one elf in particular will be checking & telling Santa if you’ve co-operated ha-ha

Ticket Prices

The adult and children over 13 fare is £12.00, no present is included.

Children 1 – 12 years is £15.00, a present from Santa is included.

Children under 12 months is £6.00, These tickets will have no allocated seat, you will need to sit them on knee, Santa will give them a special gift during your journey

To book a child under 12 months you need to book the ticket separately you can find it here or below the booking options on each day.

Please note

Bookings for 9 & 10 December will close on Friday 1 December and bookings for 16/17/18 December will close on Friday 8 December

To book your tickets please choose your Day of travel first, this will open a new page where you can buy your tickets.

If you are booking tickets for those under 12 months you do not book a seat for them they will be sat on an adults knee but you do need to put their details on the booking. Each table seats 4 people.

We have a new ticket system

While the new ticketing system is an improvement on previous years, we may have a few glitches.

Your order will be processed
Seats will be allocated to your booking
You will receive an email acknowledgement
Check all details are correct & screenshot / print out as your ticket
Arrive on the date / time booked
You will be welcomed, checked off on the list and shown to your seats.

Will I receive my tickets in the post?

No, our tickets are sent by email. After booking you will receive your tickets. Please print and bring them with you or show us them on your phone on the day.

Will my seats be allocated?

Our new ticketing system allows you to select your own seats. This allows ou to sit where you’d like.

Whats your cancelation policy?

We understand sometimes unexpected situations arise, where you will not be able to attend as planned and here at the LWR we will do everything to help. We do have a general cancellation policy which can be read under the cancellation section… Please get in touch with us at the earliest possible time, so that we can speak with you direct.
