Yes, if you have a day rover ticket, you are welcome to ride as much as you want and get off to return at a later time.

      • How long is the journey & where does train go?

We have free car parking at Ludborough Station, where you will board the train. We travel around 1.75 miles surrounded by the open countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, arriving in North Thoresby after a relaxing 15 minute journey. (You are allowed to get off here to look around & take photos, perhaps go for a walk and catch the next train back) The train rests for 10 minutes before pushing back for another 15 minute relaxing journey, bringing you back into Ludborough Station.

      • Do you have toilet facilities?

We have toilets available at Ludborough Station & we have toilets onboard the train – We advise the toilets onboard are only used in desperate measures and while the train is out of the stations.

      • Can I bring a picnic?

Absolutely!!  You are welcome to bring your own food / drink to eat in our picnic area or on the train – all we ask is you tidy up after yourself and take your rubbish home or bin it in the bins provided around the site.

      • Can I visit the engine shed & signal box?

Due to the working environment, permission must be granted by the signal box worker’s discretion to see inside the signal box – please ask a member of staff on your visit.

Please see engine shed tours for access to the engine shed.

      • Can I arrange a birthday party?

We can organise banners / balloons and you are welcome to to make arrangements for a cake etc.

For children’s parties we can sometimes organise music onboard with fun entertainment but this does depend on availability.

      • What are the onboard fun events?

The On-Train Events are based on entertainment onboard as you travel along generally in one coach. Entertainment generally lasts around 15 mins or 30 mins. We use fancy dress & think of different ideas to entertain, incorporating a mix of recorded music. We love to get everyone clapping & dancing in their seats & just having a good time. We are not professional singers or dancers, it is a case of having fun & making sure people go away with a smile on their face. We look forward to welcoming you.

      • Do you welcome large groups and coach parties?
